I found a video where Matt Peddlesden modified part of the Script_210_210.mw3 file which shows how the levers are coded. He is using the loco brake lever for the throttle which almost triples the resolution. And the throttle lever becomes the loco brake lever which doesn't need such fine resolution....

I love the locomotive and often use the advanced cold, dark startup. But the throttle lever on the Raildriver has so much hysteresis that it is impossible to get notch-to-notch actuation. Yes, fingers weren't connected to the brain (happens often). Anyway we solved the problem by unchecking all the scenarios I had added (got way too greedy) and reloaded the game. Works fine now.
