Re: Widescreen Patch

I have an upgraded version of the patch for uploading but the download has disappeared from UKTS's database and is no longer showing as a download. I did not keep a copy! I need this to base the new update on. Could someone please send the latest version of the download to me. If you do not know my...

Re: Widescreen Patch

(I was waiting for someone to plug Open Rails! :o :-? ) Graham. Why? Why would you start your post with that comment? Have you tried Open Rails? Do you have issues with Open Rails? I'm pretty much "on record" as being a user of both MSTS and Open Rails. I've been on Train Sim Forums since MSTS bega...

Re: Widescreen Patch

Thanks for the reply Ged. I'm puzzled as to how it works. I normally run in 1600 x 1200, which is 4:3 I set the patch to run in 1920 x 1080 (the native resolution for my monitor), which is 16:9 (or 5.333:3). The only way to get EXACTLY the same content on the before and after screens is to stretch ...

Re: Widescreen Patch

PLEASE NOTE Do read the read me very carefully. You only need to back up your original train.exe, copy it into the folder where you unzipped this patch and then run the batch file. When you've set your screen resolution and exited the .bat file you then run the REGEDIT file. This saves any manual e...

Re: Reducing the number of LODS in Shape Files

On reading the links above, I was thinking of a batch programme created by Matt Peddlesden to reduce LODs in many shapes rather than Polymaster reducing LODs one shape at a time. Regards, Chris I've been in touch with Matt and he's generously agreed to search for it. Obviously, like the projects of...

Re: Mid East Plus Class 105 dmu issue

Also, there is an amended MEP class 108, that Mick( the MEP author ), has posted the updated ENG files on here, to work correctly in OpenRails. You can look at these files and adjust other DMUs accordingly. A quick search for the 108, should take you directly to that post! Thanks Well that beats me...

Re: Mid East Plus Class 105 dmu issue

Hi all, Recently had a run on this route and managed to get the missing vehicle issue sorts but found these units very low on power. Am not sure which lines in the .eng file will cure this issue having not altered power output in recent times. Any people altered these units with some hints of what ...

Re: Is Trainsim.com down ...or is it just me?

Seems that my link was out of date but for reasons mentioned in the thread I started on ts.com it still functioned. Now I've updated the links all is well. Apparently the change was months ago but as my desktop shortcut always worked I never noticed ....until it didn't  Thanks for checking it ...

Re: Is Trainsim.com down ...or is it just me?

Web address seems to have been changed, was train-sim.com now trainsim.com, only found out yesterday when I spent most of the day trying to log on. John AH! Glad you mentioned that. I found that my shortcut and Favourites entry were wrong too. Thought for one horrible moment it might be a Trojan or...

Is Trainsim.com down ...or is it just me?

Haven't been able to get their site up for nearly 24 hours now?

Could someone confirm that it's down for me. Much appreciated.

Re: Changing Steam Loco Cabs

Hi Peter, As someone who bailed out of RW (when it was still RW) and kept on with MSTS which I'd had since it's release I've done quite a few "customisations" of my BASIC/DEFAULT MSTS. I use this modified, error checked DEFAULT set up to create Mini Routes for all new routes. As I'm pretty much conc...

Re: PRR Eastern Route

Hi Chris (?) I'm guessing you're flogging a dead horse here? :-? It's a shame because the parochial nature of many (NOT all by any means) Train Simmers means that those of us interested in ANY rail, ANYWHERE.... are actually in a minority :( . It was a real labour of love, the creation of that route...

Re: Wishlist

A lot of North American reskins are actually being done by fellow Brits! Plenty of helpful folk there too if you get stuck. You're not wrong, although I would point out that a number of the reskins on trainsim.com require the purchase of proprietary base models. Agreed ....but then perhaps that's o...
