I was running two HD6870 cards in Crossfire mode (AMD's equivalent of SLI). I found that frame rates in TS2013 (as measured by Dxtory2.0) were pretty well double with Crossfire enabled compared to running with just one card.

I think I'll save my money and wait for a sale. I might have paid US$25, but US$40 for a route (however nice) and one piece of (apparently sub-standard) stock is just too much.

It's not the total size of the Assets folder that causes any problems. It's the total amount of the Provider/Products that are selected when runnung a route and scenario.

Check out that tutorial pointed out by Mike Simpson earlier in this thread. It will give you some things to try.

A Kuju folder of that size is unlikely to be causing the problems you describe. What are the sizes of the RailSimulator and RailSimulatorUS folders in the Kuju folder?
