Hello Martin,
A couple of weeks ago I posted something that might help you getting your RAM stable:
http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 5#p1521740
Maybe worth a try?

Re: Using steam mover (and other experiments)
May I suggest to keep a part of your Intel-SSD unpartitioned, say 5 GB if you don't need that space, it keeps the performance of the SSD high when filling up. You can even do that after you installed programs on the SSD. ( Win7: Right click 'computer', select 'Manage' --> 'Disk Management' --> Right...

Re: Woodhead - SBHH
Hi John ( Partyspiritz ), Still no luck running Woodhead? I did read somewhere that you have 4 GB of RAM, do you know if it’s 2 x 2 GB or 4 x 1 GB? If it’s 4 x 1 GB, can you download ( http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html and run CPU-Z. When in CPU-Z, click the ‘Memory’ tab and see what it says...

Re: Railworks core updates!
I just did the 'Up the junction' scenario on Woodhead with 'SMAA-Injector' set to ULTRA and the Nvidia image settings to 'Quality', no AA settings in game. It looks great with that settings. Maybe something to try. ( SMAA topic: http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=314&t=121162 ) Regards, Fr...

Re: Railworks core updates!
The update works good for me. I now have roughly the same, or even more, FPS with shadows at highest as before without shadows. No stuttering, so, i'm happy. In the Nvidia control panel there is a setting called 'Digital Vibrance' it's under 'Adjust desktop color settings', you can try to set this a...

Re: Woodhead - SBHH
@ Partyspiritz,
Maybe re-installing DirectX 9 can solve that. I don't know what version of Windows you use, but I think this is the correct link:

Re: TS2012 Woodhead route released
This was just posted at FaceBook about the 'corepatch':
"RailSimulator.com Hi guys, the software upgrade is almost ready to go. This time next week you should be patched
"
Hopefully this will help with the trouble some people have with the route.

Frank

Re: TS2012 Woodhead route released
@Vern,
What you can try, if you didn't already, is: Exit 'Steam'; rightclick the 'Steam' shortcut and click 'run as administrator'; do a verify game-cache; clear cache;
Start the original 'Woodhead' route ( not the cloned version )
Maybe this helps.

Frank

You are absolutely right about thatgptech wrote:Of course, all these tweaks and extras should only be considered after getting a system up and running, not as criteria to greatly influence the buying decision.

Re: New computer specs? (again)
If speed is a big issue, you'd be better off (if funds allow) to add a small (64GB) SSD to a Z68 based system and use that as a fast cache. Or, if you have plenty of RAM you can use a program like 'Fancy-Cache' to use your RAM as a cache. It can also use a SSD as cache without the need of a Z68 Chi...

Re: Anyone tried 'FancyCache'
What are your settings with the program? Are you using Volume or Disks edition? I tested the program with default settings on this computer with 12 gigs and it didn't load the route to cache(according to the Performance statistics tool provided with the program, it listed only 6 megs of cached data...

Anyone tried 'FancyCache'
My system only uses ~3.8 GB RAM, of the 12 GB, when I'm playing railworks. This weekend I found a program called “FancyCache” and couldn't resist to try it out. After a couple of minutes driving a route I started to see some improvements with ‘Tile loading’, probably because it’s now read from the c...
