I wouldn't go with AMD at the moment, an i5-2500k is far far better than the 1090T (and I own the 1090T). Everything else looks ok. You could go with 2x4GB of RAM since it's dirt cheap these days.
For PSU I recommend a Corsair 750W it gives you a little headroom for the future.

Did you try reinstalling the card drivers (installing the latest)? It just seems a software glitch/bug to me.
