Re: Steam Dreams with 4MT
I've struggled with this one too....I pretty much exclusively drive steam, fully manual and I have to say I've found the 4MT a tricky beast in general. As a couple of other people have mentioned I've also wondered if the dampers aren't fully open by default as she does seem to be a bit tetchy about ...

Re: Data Execution Prevention
I've reverted the scenario to default using RW Tools and it now runs normally so I'm thinking that perhaps my editing the consists in the first place with RW Tools to put different steamers on them might've caused problems? Interestingly although I could put the DT 4MT 2-6-0 into various consists wh...

Data Execution Prevention
Hello all, I've just tried to run the 'Milk and Cookies' scenario on Railworks and Windows closed it using Data Execution Prevention. This is an automatic feature of Vista that attempts to prevent viruses etc from executing code that might harm your machine and in theory it is possible to exclude a ...

Well that was quick!
So, I just took a B1 up to 91mph on the Woodhead line (in the 70mph section between Pennistone and Sheffield, heading downhill towards Sheffield). Doubt the Inspector's going to be very happy when the train-load of 'happy campers' recover their wits! Brilliant model, the B1 though, and a crack...

Big changes?
Hello all, I'm finally back online after nearly 6 months without an internet connection, and I've also been moving around all the time for the last year or so until a couple of months back so I seem to have missed a fair bit Railworks wise. I loaded up RW today and it seems I've been upgraded to 201...

Problem with S&C v7
Hi folks, I'm running into a recurring error with the freeware S&C (version 7). Just before Horton in Ribblesdale going northbound my game freezes and I get an error message as follows: 'ERROR: Not a serialized file FILE: D:\build\CoreRelease\Code\Libs\Foundation\API\Core/cFxException.h LINE: 113.' ...

Re: Always having to fix things
Pilot37 makes a good point. I'll admit to tearing my hair out with frustration at times trying to sort out scenarios for Railworks (or fix broken scenarios), and I suspect getting good at routebuilding or trying to create new rolling stock would be well beyond my skills (though having been itinerant...

Re: RSC DLC - Greater Variety Of Routes Needed
Interesting thread and it seems to have struck a chord with a lot of people here, and I thought I might add my own perspective since I agree with a lot of what's been said and I think there are ways forward which could satisfy a lot of demand. I've been generally absent from RW since last summer bec...

Coming soon.....
....my first scenarios! I've been teaching myself scenario creation and first of all created one for the S&D route. This takes the form of a milk train to Radstock (I had no idea at the time that the 8F pack has a scenario with a similar theme!) and I'll be releasing it shortly. I recently downloade...

Missing Mk1s
Dear all, I've recently downloaded the fantastic Settle and Carlisle V3 route and while I've managed to get the free roam scenario working without any difficulties I've unfortunately been trying to run the standard scenarios without success and RW Tools tells me that I'm missing three mk1 files, the...
