Re: New Laptop for RW2

i was also looking at the xps range of laptops. For the price of an xps laptop that will play railworks well, you'd be better off buying alienwares m15x as its not too bad price for what you are getting i.e. hardware and build quality. I have the alienware m17x and it runs railworks on maxed out gra...

Re: 15 FPS!

Other things to look at would be how much hard drive space do you have - if it is getting full (and wven more so if you have a single drive) performance will drop substantially and hard drive access is a typical bottleneck in RailWorks. Defragmenting your hard drive(s) would also be a good idea if ...

Re: 15 FPS!

Any of several factors could be contributing to this problem. Do you have another game you could load to see if it suffers similarly? If so it's not an RW problem. Is there a program running in the background hogging resources? Bringing up the Task Manager will help here. Is your PC overheating? ht...

15 FPS!

For some reason my RW won't exceed 15 FPS and the makes playing the sim unbearable through persistant stuttering and rubber banding particularly in steam locos , it has started doing this for the past 2 months and cant understand why. i have tried adjusting all the settings on the game, my graphic c...

something isn't right

i have recently reinstalled railworks due to accidentally deleting it and it now stutters and will barely hit 25fps, and no changes have occurred to my system. before it got deleted the sim ran smooth as no faults nothing. does anyone have a clue what could be causing this ?

Bristol to Exeter

Im not sure if this has been brought up in another thread but has just trains given any indication as to when they will finally release this route as its been in construction for a very long time. I sometimes get the impression that they sometimes start a project and leave it and make something else...

Re: DT's West Country/BoB and 4MT

the sounds work ok for me, the only thing that doesn't work for me and annoys me is the locomotive brakes which is also a problem with the tornado and then tank engines should have loco brakes. i shouldn't have to use the train brake or handbrake to stop the loco light engine when it has or ment to ...

Sound issues, help needed

I seem to have a problem with steam locomotive sounds where the cylinder exhaust sounds are irregular, stutter and sometimes miss a cylinder sound out and sounds ghastly. However all other sounds associate with the steam loco's are fine like whistle, shovelling, con rod clanking sounds etc. All dies...
