Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

It’s good to see quality scenarios appearing for this route now. I hoped they would once the 315 was released. I received lots of feedback from people who downloaded the route and had problems with running it. For the most part it does seem to have been more usable in its latest/current form. It’s n...

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

Excellent. Good to hear. I have been using the 313 suitably reskinned to stand in temporarily for the 315. I've done quite a few scenarios now but they can be a lot of work writing and especially testing due to the length of the route.

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

I haven't had any reports from anyone else about problems around Colchester so not sure what the issue could be at this moment in time. Since the previous release I have added track linked items for the neutral sections at the bottom of the hill and amend the OHL lofts. I also removed quite a few ro...

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

I have written quite a few full length scenarios featuring both Class 90 and 321. They are quite intensive to create and test. I have been using the Class 313 reskinnee as appropriate but as the Class 315 seems imminent I'm reluctant to release any scenario that will later require changes. A few iss...

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

Just FYI the water will be making a return. The track and loft tiles in that area have been replaced with those from the original route which seems to have helped most people get through there. I'll put the water back in either as a loft or decal for next update.

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

I know a few people have had problems receiving the update through Workshop so haven't managed to give the update a try yet. It's good to see it does work and improves the situation at Stratford.

I can look at adding in the missing W boards and crossings. I know there are a few.

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

An update to GEML went out this morning including the following: + Fixed Quick Drive routing problem at Diss. You will now stay on the correct line. + Added passenger lofts at Diss so you can now load/unload passengers there. + Added missing signals protecting Norwich platforms. + Added markers nort...

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

Crashed big time there. In the route properties folder there is a requirement for a RMills/Great Eastern folder which I don't have. Are there any assets from that folder being called in that area? No tiles reference any non-Steam assets now. The route does not validate unless it's steam only assets...

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

There are a few changes to scenery in the Stratford area I will be making in an effort to improve these problems people are reporting. I hope to get the first update with a list of changes uploaded very soon.

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

What's the signal number? If it's a repeater COxxR then it won't show on the HUD.

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

It seems to be affecting only a few people. If there was a corrupt tile it would be affecting everyone so I'm confident it's just s case of some people having issues with the scenery density and the settings they use. I'll have a look and see if I can remove any objects from the area which might help.

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

Yes I'll add passenger lofts at a Diss to allow loading and unloading. I hope to put an update out soon. I'll confirm here, on FB and on the Workshop when this has been done and what has been changed.

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

Theres a video on YouTube of the full run from Norwich to Liverpool Street using supplied quick drive. The player train passes through Stratford without a hitch around 1.23.00. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OkxXoA3piTs It sounds like it's related to graphic settings. There are a lot of loft items on...

Re: Workshop GEML to Norwich is back up!

I've had a few people report this but no luck identifying the cause as yet. If you have time and/or the inclination, try isolating the folders relating to scenery, lofts, etc in turn. Renaming them Scenery_bak or something will do. You can then see if it's related to the scenery, a loft object or pa...
