Hi PPMM55, I use headphones That's something I'd not thought of! It's quite possible that headphones will concentrate the sounds more than speakers. Have you tried the default Flying Scotsman on Westvale? Does it have the same 'extra' sounds? Have you tried 1143 on default S&C? with same results? G...

Hi PPMM55, Just a thought - do the speakers you use include a sub-woofer, ie 2.1 configuration? If so, the deeper notes will be amplified by the woofer and make it more intrusive to you.
