Re: TSW2

Hi John, check the launch options field in the game's Steam properties for TSW2 and make sure its empty.
For the other issue, what screen resolution are you running the game at?

Re: 2020 Rivet Games survey

Hi Colin, I did the survey but so far haven't received a voucher. Will they be sent out after Dec 18th?

Many thanks.

Re: TSW2

DTG just announced today that they are backtracking on their original decision, and so existing TSW content will gradually be migrated to full-fat versions that will fully work in TSW2 (providing one has previously purchased them). This is actually really big news and I have to give them credit: the...

Re: TSW2

Most likely it's all about control. They want to be able to control content. And the revenue stream it provides. I remember something similar with Flight Sim World, where they tried to lock down 3rd party payware devs into selling through their store. Hmm I wonder what happened to that. Seri...

Interesting tease on Twitter...

https://twitter.com/railsimulator/statu ... 70721?s=19

TSW 2021 announcement on the 9th June? I guess we will all be hoping that there will be some real progress (steam, editors, UE improvements) and not just a DLC rebundling.

Re: SSS Stainmore route

Just got the route, nice job guys! I did notice some missing assets such as the odd bridge and overbridge, and the signalman hanging in mid-air at Tees Valley Jcn. After running the route through TSTools I found a couple of missing assets: "F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\eyore\Sta...

Nice to see a teddy bear amongst the austerities. The one time I got to walk around Ashington colliery was early in '83 and there were loads.

Re: Are many people here playing?

Well I wouldn't be against them bringing over one or two of their Swiss routes, they have already done all the research, although some of the sounds may need rerecording.

Re: Are many people here playing?

There seem to be a number of people on this forum who spend an great deal of time fretting about the future and posting long and convoluted arguments. I do wonder at times how much TSW / TS2020 they actually play given the volume of posts. It's no secret that I meet up with Matt and his family regu...

Re: Are many people here playing?

The longer things go on, I wonder if they regret using UE4 as their base - there seems to be lots that needs adding on to get it to do what they want it to. The accumulated tech debt must be piling up, I wonder when the version of UE4 that TSW is built on goes out of support (if it does) - I guess ...

Re: Are many people here playing?

I'd love to see some more openness from DTG in the form of a road map, even if it's in Q1/Q2 form rather than exact dates. What is the plan for steam? I'm not that fussed about it, but lots are. Are they ever going to update to the later versions of UE4 with newer, better functionality? Have to agr...

Re: Are many people here playing?

The man has the patience of a saint. 90% of the chat during streams is "Why don't you build this", or "When will you fix that".
