Re: Kuju Folder Size - Help Required Please

@antonyperks There definitely is something to it. Check out the "Is TS2013 more "Fragile" than TS2012?" and "Problems with 3rd party routes in TS2013 with SBHH." threads.

Re: Kuju Folder Size - Help Required Please

Well, I'm not ready to give up on the "Bloated Kuju Folder" theory yet. I've been corresponding with Griphos who says has a 13Gb Kuju folder and no SBHH problem. Before I started stripping mine down I had a Kuju\RailSimulator folder of 12Gb and a Kuju\RailSimulatorUS folder of 2.5Gb. I didn't have t...

Re: Kuju Folder Size - Help Required Please

@gptech - I didn't say they "should". I was giving my opinion on the question that was asked earlier in this thread. On the other hand, IF it is an issue that was introduced with the upgrade from TS2012 to TS2013 (and I don't think that's actually been proven yet) RSC may be looking at it. As to you...

Re: Kuju Folder Size - Help Required Please

To answer the question about whether RSC is aware of it, Mike Simpson, in the Problems with 3rd party routes in TS2013 with SBHH thread, said: "I have spoken with Derek at RSC and he has confirmed that they became aware of the bloated Kuju\RailSimulator folder a long time ago and this is why they no...

Re: I Am On The Horns Of A Dilemma

OK crumplezone, I can't let that one go. Give specific examples of the "number of times you created outlandish and generalised title threads which directly provoked scorn and anger from both the userbase and developers". I've just looked through my posts and can only find one -the Sherman Hill one. ...

I Am On The Horns Of A Dilemma

After giving the matter a lot of serious thought, I am still undecided on my future course of action. I am not posting this with the intention of soliciting opinions on what I should do and I would ask that no-one replies to this post. (Anyone that would like to correspond with me can do so by sendi...

Re: Sherman Hill - Scenario Issues.

The thread has wandered a bit off topic so I'll keep it that way. :) (BTW, I asked for the thread title to be changed to "Sherman Hill - Another RSC stuff-up", but that was vetoed by "the management"!) It seems to me that the "tolerance" referred to above is "putting up with sub-standard products wi...

Re: Digital Traction 4MTT

Let me get this straight. I bought the original 4MT on Steam. I'm quite keen to buy the new improved version, especially at the introductory price. If I do, I have to buy it directly from DT and it will then overwrite the original version. So far so good. However, next time I verify the files, Steam...

Re: Sherman Hill - Scenario Issues.

Bob, I was going to send you a PM but decided that a public apology is more appropriate. As this thread has unfolded, it has become evident that the fault lies with RSC and not with the original route. I apologise to you and the other members of the team for the implied criticism of the original rou...

Re: problem with route after upgrade

When this has happened to me in the past, I think it's been because the weather files that were originally used are no longer in the original place. The solution has been to edit the scenario in RW_Tools (if you can't open it in the TS2013 editor) and change the weather.

Run it as far as "Highest Point" Trev and see if it's still okay.

Re: Sherman Hill - Scenario Issues.

Yes, Bob, I do like the route. But little niggles like this really do spoil the experience.

Re: The Central Route For Railworks

I've just installed Phil's "Before You Go Home" scenario and get error messages about missing markers at "Wigan NWR Shed 1" and "Butts Lane Fuel Coal".

I've reinstalled the route (and the update) and the scenario but it hasn't helped.

Any ideas what causing this and how to fix it?

Re: Sherman Hill - Scenario Issues.

Thanks for the feedback. Having just bought the route, I wasn't aware of the background.

Yes, I guess the title for the thread isn't quite right. It should probably be "Sherman Hill - Another example of RSC's incompetence!".
