Hi John,
Thank you for that quote :)
I'd either missed it, or, more likely, forgotten it!!

Re: What happened to http://www.trainsimfiles.org.uk/?

Hi Connor, trainsimfiles.org.uk disappeared in about 2016 and I doubt if it'll be back. My last contact with Tim Booth, and his last post on this site, was in Feb 2016 (although I stand to be corrected on the latter!). Many of his files are available on this site and others - maybe you could let us ...

Re: Brakes again

Hi Ken, Which version of Open Rails are you using? I, too, am having problems with vacuum brakes on a steam loco using the Unstable and Testing versions of Open Rails! They seem to work 'properly' in the MonoGame versions - I've just tested 'Michael Faraday' using MG 87.1 and, to me, the brakes work...

Re: Issues with lines in .eng files in trains including 'Headlights ( x )'

Hi SBRELSFORD, Welcome to the Forum :) I think you may need to install the MSTS Bin Patch. This applies especially if the Headlight and/or Unit number is greater than 3. If you don't have the Bin Patch, you should be able to download it from the MSTS Quick Picks button on the front page, or directly...

Re: Shape Viewer problem

Hi All, Resetting Windows didn't help so I restored my image from Feb 2020 (Windows 10 v1909). Shape Viewer worked correctly. Applied the v1909 updates to Dec 2020 - Shape viewer still OK! Applied the 20H2 Feature Update - Shape Viewer STILL runs correctly. I have some software updates to apply and ...

Re: Shape Viewer problem

Hi John, After trying many ideas put forward by members of trainsim.com I'm still getting nowhere so have come to the conclusion that the problem is caused by something I've done or downloaded, or something automatically downloaded on to my PC. I'm considering doing something drastic like resetting ...

Re: Install problem with Finescale track

Hi, It's a problem with the installer and the version from Steam4Me suffers with the same problem. You can download a working installer from the French site : http://www.activitysimulatorworld.net/Les_utilitaires/UK_FineScale.htm Alternatively, you can use my utility, UKFS_Install, to install the ve...

Re: Win 10 & Severn Valley/West Somerset route CDs

Hi Peter, That's good news mate! If/when you install West Somerset Railway, the procedure is just the same as for the Severn Valley Railway except that there's only one CD; there is a WSR batch file to be run. It's my pleasure to be able to help, and I thank you for your good wishes; I wish you and ...

Train Sim Modeler no longer available from Louis Sinclair

Hi, It has been brought to my attention that Louis Sinclair's website is no longer 'live'. I have tried contacting him via email but as his address was linked to his website, it's also no longer available. There is a Facebook account in the name of Rundio Sinclair which looks as if it may be 'our' L...
