Re: 2 Questions before purchase

OK - I've made my mind up - I'm going to pick up a copy of RS tomorrow!

Out of interest; how come there isn't a 150, 153, 156 or 158 available!? I would have thought these would have been some of the first stock add-ons!?

Re: 2 Questions before purchase

If you play Rail Simulator in Expert setting the AWS works fine where provided on some of the routes. Does that mean that most of the routes don't have AWS? Also, im really keen to make my own route. I've read that the tools provided to do so are really bad and make route building a nightmare. Is t...

2 Questions before purchase

Hi

I have two very quick questions:

1) How does RS perform under win XP? Or is it best to get Vista?
2) Does RS have AWS whilst driving? I come from a BVE background and couldn't do without it now!

Thanks

Re: MSTS on Fedora Linux

Ah right. Im in the middle of giving it a go anyway (as ive found my disks again). As i run through the installation and the installer asks me for disk 2, my computer cannot find it (even though i inserted it). Is there a way i can copy the files from both disks onto my HD and install from there? Re...

Re: MSTS on Fedora Linux

I would, but I've just realised I cant find my original MSTS disk! What a nightmare. I might have to order it again.

I was planning on holding out for MSTS2 before using a rail simulator again, but that's a full 12 months away! I just can't wait!

If I get it up and running on Linux I'll report back.

MSTS on Fedora Linux

Hi

I am now a full time Linux user. Does this mean I can't play MSTS any more!? If it is possible to use MSTS on Linux does anyone know of a good tutorial explaining how to do so.

Regards,
Jon

Re: Just trains new route, coming soon

Hi

I thought that companies couldn't make add-ons due to bugs in the game with timetabling? Or am i getting confused?

Re: BVE Won't Start

OK i fixed it! I had no luck with all the tutorials i could find! To solve the issue i simply installed BVE in a non-default location and it worked fine.

Bath Route

Hi

I was just wondering if there was a Bath route? The Trowbridge, Bradford upon Avon, Bath line to be more precise! I don't think there is, but I thought I'd ask incase i was missing out!

Re: Throttle Differences

Ah - don't worry i've fixed it!

The EngineControllers Throttle attribute needed an extra parameter with a value if 0. Like so:

Code: Select all

 EngineControllers (
            Throttle ( 0 1 0.2 0 0.

Throttle Differences

Hi. I’ve recently installed a new train. After installing the train I took it for a test in Explore Route mode. However I’ve noticed (much to my frustration) that I have less precise control over the throttle application (even when using the mouse). In all trains I’ve driven so far, when I use the m...
