Re: SBHH after SBHH after SBHH
I am building with what everyone has. Settle to Carlisle has all been built with the tools that are available to all. (except career mode scenarios and raindrops on glass) There is an issue with the redraw of lofts being restricted in the editor to x amount per second which causes a lag, I have no e...

Re: RSDL,WINDMILL ?
Hi,
I have spoken to the artist who made the windmill that use to be hosted on the old RSDL website.
He is happy for you guys to pack it up and share it anyway you want, I don't have a copy of it but if someone wants to upload it to UKTS then he is also cool with that.
regards
Derek

Re: RSC Support?
Hi,
No need to apologise to me.
I understand the highs and lows of route building and the frustrations that can go with it.
I inform where I can and just hope you guys find the solutions you are looking for.
best regards

Re: RSC Support?
Hi, The support guys are there to help you with issues of playing DLC and the core game. I'm afraid they can not help people debug their own projects. The auto response is what you get when you email support, depending on the issue it is then followed up by one of the members of staff. Be polite and...

Re: The Central Route For Railworks
I use the live version to build in, S to C at the moment, so the redraw of lofts is a pain, though not to bad on my route as I don't use that many.
The fix for this is in beta and will be put out soon. (I don't have a hard date, but soon I hope)

Paul I thought you were going to upload the short section you did of your woodhead route a few weeks back. I was really looking forward to seeing it.

Re: Payware Dependancies
http://the-art-of-rws.blogspot.com/2010/06/wang-part-1.html Making the textures can take some time (however you don't have to make wang textures to start with, just plain tileable ones will do to begin with, then once you know what you are going to use the most of make them wang), and tinkering with...

Re: Unnecessary detail?
Hi, If the camera was restricted to the cab, then I would certainly only model what the player can see. However, the game is played in many different ways. (the screenshot and movie threads show this) I drive the train from about 10M above the loco, and model what I think is needed. However my tile ...

Re: Demand For Freeware Routes?
Hi,
Just to point out that Settle to Carlisle is being built with the live version with all the tools that everyone else has. (except career mode scenarios)
Of course in the future we may have tools that we develop for ourselves, but right now I use what everyone else uses.

Re: New Route Announcement from RSC: Settle to Carlisle
I did inform JG we were doing this route some time back, and he had nothing but kind words and encouragement. The route is being developed by RS.com. With all the respect in the world to the guys who do, but freeware content can not dictate what RS.com do as I have explained many times. The screen s...
