Re: The Official "How stupid is the announcer" Thread
Was on a Glasgow Queen St-Dunblane Scotrail 170 service a few weeks back. The correct annoucements ran about halfway through and suddenly stopped. Soon after the train started to believe it was at Dunbarton Central. As silly as it may sound...some passengers got off confused

Re: XC Saturday 1500 BNS-Glasgow
Ah thanks for that guys
I will say the looks we got at Oxford Rd station were some of confusion as to why a Voyager was heading their way. Plus we stopped breifly at Piccadilly at a through platform (just stationary, no stop etc) and some folk tried to get on

Re: Is your local route available with MSTS?
My local station is Bishopbriggs (first station on the line from Glasgow Queen St to Edinburgh Waverley). I understand it is included in the Scottish central route...however theres no scenery so i'm hoping that will be updated one day

XC Saturday 1500 BNS-Glasgow
I took this service yesterday, but one thing confused me. Does someone know why at the weekends (according to the staff), this service goes through Manchester Piccadilly, Oxford Rd, etc instead of bypassing. We didn't even stop anywhere (this was between Crewe and Wigan N Western). Does anyone know ...

Re: Favourite Livery out of the new 3 operators.
Heres a nice vid where you can see a newly painted London Midland cl350, as well as a newly painted CrossCountry voyager in the new platform at BNS :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPfvNMAJNrg Hmmm, I think in that AXC Livery, the front is black. I hope its black. Anyone know how many Voyagers hav...

Re: Virgin Voyager Tribute [VT 221]
Great vid mate!
I think that Virgin will be keeping some 221 units for Virgin West Coast which will perhaps allow for more frequencies on that network should it allow. Will be traveling Cross-Country on Thursday evening...wonder if there'll be any difference

Re: EB Question
Sorry guys didn't think to check for previous threads. I also didn't think about it that way...I guess with lots of work it could be possible but whether or not its worth it is another question. I suppose its better to leave them separate and allow more time to creating better routes altogether :) P...

EB Question
Hey guys, quick one for ya. Do you think that EB will eventually connect up all or most of their routes one way or another? For example, LSC could be integrated with WCE through the line from Clapham Junc to Wembley Central. Or to Kings Cross via the Thameslink from Norwood Junc? Personally I think ...

Re: Virgin Trains Diversion Question
As a native brummie, I can't think of what they would mean other than running through the Trent Valley running from leaving the line to Brum at Rugby heading through Nuneaton, Tamworth, L'field etc then onto Stafford (as created in the Thames-Mersey route). Unless they meant using one of the freight...

Re: Virgin Trains Diversion Question
I've seen hundreds of freight go through New Street non-stop which looked to me like they were speeding
However, i've wondered the same thing myself.

EB releasing new WCE acts with new release
Due for release this month, their mainline stock and activities pack will include freight too. Perhaps they'll be finally including a few freight activities for WCE?

Either way, i'll be ordering my copy before it's released on the 7th December. Should be good hopefully. Also hope they include accurate 323 sounds.

Re: Preston to Birmingham NS
As static freak mentioned, Arriva will be running the X-Country services by that point so who knows what the service will be like. I'm not convinced they'll do a better job but thats just me.
I'm glad VWC will still be running Glasgow-BNS (live in Glasgow, got family in Brum).
