Re: Bogie Stiffness and Damping: how should we set them?

hello, still no success, i tried all kinds of values inbetween 2e+000 and 9e+037 (the highest the blueprint editor will take) and the carriage always rode the same. as already said, the only visible change was when it fell over, when the value for damping was close or higher than the value for stiff...

Re: Bogie Stiffness and Damping: how should we set them?

thanks andi and kariban.

but has anybody had any success with changing those values? it seems that whatever i do the waggon behaves just like before. the only thing i can achieve is to make the carriage tip over.

Re: Bogie Stiffness and Damping: how should we set them?

what setting does the stock from HC have? i don't have the route. :) i don't even understand in what language we should set those values, since in the blueprint editor it looks like those are hexadecimal values. in whatever way i tried to change them, all i got were carriages that fell over by thems...

Re: Using a mobile phone & google earth to assist route building

i don't think you can lay the tracks automatically, but you might be able to somewhow create a serial marker from a gps track. serial markers are not really necessary though, since decals are much better anyway. however, certainly very helpful would be a detailed height chart to properly recreate gr...

Re: Some TS2012 Route Creator Information

hello,

does anybody know what happened with gradient transitions?
i thought those should have been implemented in RW3 as well, but it appears that the gradients still change as abruptly as they did before.

Re: The DVT discussion thread

hello, just to let you know, DVTs are now perfectly possible as i've just tested.
just set them up as a locomotive without any power, any other locomotive in the consist will work as it should.

Re: Cab Sway

most of what has been criticised in this thread can be controlled via the parameters in the cab camera blueprint. head movement can be controlled for the x,y and z axis individually, therefor it is possible to reduce the longitudinal movement alone to reduce the effect of acceleration and braking or...

Re: Super-Elevation and TrackRules.. Question

160 mm is regularily used in germany, too. that should be around 6 degrees. i've just experimented a bit with cant and thats what i have found out: - you have to edit in the cant after you've laid down the track. ticking the superelevation box while building doesn't do anything. - you do not have to...

Re: Shocking trackwork

you should never use snap to terrain when building track...that should only be used for roads and fences.
also if you build an incline you should use short pieces and go gradually to the desired steepness. its tedious but much more enjoyable to drive.

good luck :)

Re: I just realized something about RW

... since there is no motion blur in reality either... Are you sure? Did you ever seen fan when spinning? I think that TrainSimulator 2012 have option to enable Motion Blur. It can be seen on superelevation video from RSC. if something like a fan or wheel becomes blurred because its spinning really...

Re: Train Simulator 2012 (Part 2)

It would be good to be able to set adhesion up so you can't just fully open the throttle on a diesel at standstill anymore. I'm confident we'll get that. as long as an increasement of train weight causes wheelslip to occur much sooner than it actually should you can't set the adhesion to realistic ...

Re: Train Simulator 2012

considering that apparently everything but 2d trees casts shadows, on the outside as well as on the inside of trains, i am pretty sure that tunnels will do that, too.
