Re: TSW - Train Sim World
A few people have recently used the term "conned" when refering to DTG. I too feel "conned" by DTG with respect to the TSW "beta". I purchased a couple of TS2017 routes that I really had no interest in (at a discounted price) in order to get access to the TSW "beta". Now, my understanding of what c...

Re: TSW - Train Sim World
A "buy in" closed beta like this is very unlikely to. Its only really true closed betas that get NDAs.davejc64 wrote:It will be interesting to see if the beta for TSW includes a non-disclosure clause like some betas do.

Re: TSW - Train Sim World
From me then. I think people claiming you are going to need some behemoth of a gaming PC affordable only to professional e-sports players are just being silly. UE4 is not some beast, I downloaded a nice detailed UE4 game (Fractured Space) yesterday and my fairly modest PC will happily take that alon...

Re: Albula line from DTG/Thomson
It looks like it suffer from a similar issue to Munich - Garmish and to a lesser extend the Three Corner route in that TS is really bad at rendering mountains. They are so big yet the object and texture draw distance is so poor (relative to their size) that big mountains often, just like the they do...

Do we know if scenarios/packs for the released for the non-Steam release are compatible with the Steam version?

While coach people are about.
What are the Collett Sunshine coaches and how are they different to the Collett coaches from MT via Marketplace? Are they even different?

Glourious Devon CR Assets
So, I've had to break my heart not downloading Glourious Devon 1958 as it has listed CRs ECML route as an asset. I've finally downloaded it and I cannot immediately see any game/scenario breaking missing assets. While I've got a lot of missing signals I assume most of those are due to missing UKTS a...

Try joining this Yahoo group. Has a lot of Carriage Working Programs for railways from the Grouping all the way through to the late 80s. Very very useful.

Re: DT GWR 43xx
Having turned on the auto-fireman for the Clear Creek locos I've found that makes driving the 43xx much easier as he seems fairly competent at firing it.
I managed to top the bank from Kingswear to Churston at 15mph with 5 on with the autofireman.

Yea, I think most if not all of the Earl named Castles were named taken from the Dukedogs.

Now that you say it, I probably am! Which also explains why I couldn't find it. ;) I was already beginning to wonder - should I look up the Dukedogs - but still thought it was with the Stars I read about this nameplate moving. Thanks. --Tim It was the Dukedogs that peed off a selection of older dir...

Re: Western Mainlines Portbury car terminal
I've just been trying to do 6X52 for a scenario (the loaded service to Mossend) and gave up after a few attempts. First, the signalling and points are a little odd. All the points in Portbury, including those on the "mainlines" are manual. Secondly the signals at the Bristol end are funny. Mainly I ...

Re: I've been playing Railsim long enough, to know...
Not quite sure what your asking but if you want to remove all the files related to TS you can either uninstall via Steam. To do that open the Steam client, right click on Train Simulator then "Delete local content". If you want to just remove everything via file explorer the default directory for TS...

Re: Scenario Fails to Load
If this happened to one of the ones that have been taking a serious amount of time I would be peeved to say the least. Which is why we bang on endlessly about backing up as you go along. Did you do any editing with RW Tools or all in the in-game editor? Nothing at all. Opened via the in game editor...
