At one point they started building a wheel drop for Wimbledon - perhaps that might get finished.... Can't say I'm happy about seeing the service on the Pompey road watered down with 450s... Hateful things - at least the Arkwrights have a half-way decent internal finish. It'll be interesting to see w...

Maintenance, dear boy - maintenance!

They'll be up to us for exams; probably behind an ED since far more drivers sign them than 400-series stock these days.

I would imagine they'll continue to be stabled at Bomo.

Sounds more like it - SWT seem to love their Desiros. My alternative solution would be some 2-car Desiros - like the 456s, only better! I don't know if there's much mileage in this, but it's a possiblilty, I guess. Nick With any luck, and assuming the money is there for the platform extensions, the...

Re: Stagecoach retains SWT

and it only cost them £1.2bn http://www.stagecoachgroup.com/scg/media/press/pr2006/2006-09-22/ No mention of new trains, but I can't see how they'll get 10 car windsor trains without them. No mention either of the future for 458s or 442s. Piggies have been deep-cleaned and repainted, so they'll be...

What movements do the 455's make from the SWT side of the tracks to Ashford? I presume it's up Factory Junction, then either via Beckenham Junction or Catford, through Bromley and that way? Thats the easiest connection i can think of... would i be right in this? What time do we reckon these are mov...

Under the floor, they're essentially SUBs.... so I suppose the term "genetically modified slammer" could be applied. Or possibly "mutant slammer."

SWT 455 - undergoing refurb; the entire fleet will be there or has already been through the works. EPB - used as a test bed for paints... hence the multicoloured effects. She's been down there for at least ten years. 400-series slammers - off lease and, so the rumour mill goes, about to be moved to ...
