Re: Can't Buy Premium Membership

What stage are you getting to? I've just gone through and extended my membership no problems.

Have you got an email address in your profile as that can cause issues with the purchasing process if you don't.

Re: THAMES TRENT V3

From https://www.uktrainsim.com/index2.php?form_reader=filelibfaq You can only download one file at a time. You must wait your turn in a queue. Only a max of six downloads at a time will occur, as each one completes you will move up the queue. There is only a maximum bandwidth of 12k/s assigned to f...

Re: MT Source files

I am more than happy to help co-ordinate such a project.

Would be good to get back into things and try and dig out some of my old bits & pieces as well - I'm sure I've got a few starts of reskins of some stuff that I can locate on old drives etc.

Re: Atomic Album Closing

There are numerous FTP applications out there. It isn't difficult to find a modern one if the ones linked in the other topic are now obsolete - a simple Google of "FTP client windows" will bring up results by the bucketload My preference is WS_FTP (although they have retired the free version). I thi...

Re: Atomic Album Closing

This is a shame as I find it much easier when I need to share an image here to use the Atomic Album. Noting the suggestion to use alternatives, it seems that this decision will result in broken links etc. as I don't see that it would be possible to have a simple redirect in place (Flickr naming conv...

Re: Looking for a new route

Hi, I would second the suggestion for the briscard 6 route, but would also mention Dorset Coast V6 (and the DC Tours activity pack). The latter route covers all (I think) of the SWR 3rd rail network and some extra unelectrified lines such as Basingstoke to Salisbury and Reading to Basingstoke etc. G...

Re: DTGs Route Creation - Not a Poll

A point to make out - the scenery people and track people are actually separate :), people do track and signalling and others do scenery. I myself only do the scenery side which is where I put all my effort on the routes that I work on. I shouldn't even be commenting on this at all, but from seeing...

Re: DTGs Route Creation - Not a Poll

As far as I am concerned, as long as it captures the feel of the route, then the scenery etc. does not have to be 100% representative of the time it is modelled in.

The trackwork and signalling is more important to accurately simulate the operations over the route.

Re: Pottery Lines Route

Hi, Having taken a look at Winzip 23 (it hasn't got any better in the last 20 years!), it appears to be the cause of the problem. If we look at File 09 of 11, which contains the NS_Static_LMS_3FT folder, then in Windows Explorer, all looks good, but in Winzip, it contains the unusual characters. win...

Re: Pottery Lines Route

OK, so extracting all the files on my machine (W10) using the built in app, results in all files appearing correctly as far as I can see (taking Ian's example of NS_Static_LMS_3FT as a test). Characters not appearing correctly suggests that somewhere along the way the encoding is going awry and that...

Re: Pottery Lines Route

Hi, Haven't downloaded this yet, but remember having a similar problem with a version of the Glasgow/Carlisle route. I can't remember exactly which way round it was, but extracting the files with the Windows built in zip file utility resulted in some files being extracted with a different name to if...
