Re: Glasgow Carlisle...

Alas, progressed has stopped again. My last computer that ran MSTS has broken.

Can't even get anyone to look at it right now due to the current situation.

Re: Oil Terminal Scenery

I once created a ref file for the route because I wanted to go into the RE and make all the underground stations active. It was created in Route Riter. By the way, if you are doing Langley, the road bridge needs to go under the railway, not over it. Having lived so closed to Langley, that used to an...

I would love a copy of that too. I think it's the only one missing from my collection.

Re: Glasgow Carlisle...

As guessed by Ian Macmilan on the other forum, this station is indeed Barrhead. [album 154804 Barrhead1.jpg] Haven't spent much time on the route this week as weather too nice to be indoors and not a good idea to take the desktop PC into the garden! One regret I have from building V5 is that I wante...

Re: Class 37 diesel paint scheme

That is one livery they never had!

Classes that did; 33, 47, 50, 37, 86. 87 and the odd shunter. The livery was for passenger stock and there was nothing in the NSE area that was 37 hauled.

[album 154804 NextStation4.jpg]

Station is starting to come to life now, and looking a little more like the real thing. It is above ground level so putting in walls down to ground level.

Slow progress as experimenting with different scenery, but will be worth it.

Re: Glasgow Carlisle...

Today it is, bit nippy out! [album 154804 NextStation2.jpg] [album 154804 NextStation3.jpg] This station is, and will continue to be a nightmare, there are many reasons why I did not put it in V4. For some reason the distant mountains look awful here, so if the route is ever finished, I'll put a not...

Glasgow Carlisle...

Hi all, been a while! :o I'm not saying I'm reviving the route, let's get that out of the way first, merely I've find myself with a lot of time on my hands at the moment... Anyhow, I've been having a little tinker with the route, just to see if any desire for route building returns. Spent the last w...

Re: MT Source files

Hi all. Been a long time since I fired up MSTS/OR, but glad to see what is happening here. At some point I'll be downloading everything you upload just in case I get a bit nostalgic one day! I have one question. A long time ago, I was corresponding with Dave and Steve about a Scottish EMU pack. Have...

Re: New routes on disc?

Thanks Jed, for the info on your program 'APKExtractor'. Could you provide a link to it or tell me where to find it? Niall, you make it sound so easy now; something I'll have to explore soon. Does this mean that everything is all assembled in one place. As I understood it before, the route was down...

Re: New routes on disc?

I know a handful people didn't like it when I put my routes into just one big file but that I think is the best method in this day and age.

Pretty much, download, unzip, stick in your routes folder. Job done! Even novices can install them that way.

Re: Suburban Glasgow

It's good work, you are giving a nice job of making it look like the real thing.

Do you plan to reach Neilston or East Kilbride?

Re: Suburban Glasgow

Was very well received, over 8000 downloads and no need to upload any patches or fixes in the two years since! (YAY and PHEW!) I stepped back from it a while ago but once in a blue moon I dig out the route out and tinker a bit. Added the rest of the East Kilbride line and a bit of the Neilston one (...

Re: Suburban Glasgow

Just been having a long read of your blog as can't remember last time I checked it.

So good to see the progress you've made. As someone once said of my MSTS version, it's not a route anymore it's a network. That definitely applies here.

Keep up the great work!
