Re: TS2015 Raildriver Interface

Congratulations to Chris on the dedication and persistence he has shown. I know from learning a new language to write RWDecal that it is often a frustrating process and for me involved a lot of Googling for examples of how to do things. Chris has also uploaded his files to TrainSimDev.com if anybody...

Re: Signals with callons attached

Ahh the wonderful world of the railways. Always an exception to everything :D

HTML copies of the manuals. All I have is what I have linked to already I am afraid.

http://www.rgsonline.co.uk/Railway_Group_Standards/Control%20Command%20and%20Signalling/Railway%20Group%20Standards/GKRT0031%20Iss%204.pdf See page 12 table 3 and page 14 table 4. The exact meanings are given and it should be apparent that a feather is associated with a main aspect not a position l...

Re: Signals with callons attached

No there are not. You have 3 links but only two feathers. The spare link could be connected to a yard or siding and then you need a calling indicator. Just because the signal has feathers and a calling indicator does not mean they should be both illuminated at the same time. In fact as I have said I...

Re: Signals with callons attached

In the real world I do not believe this is allowed to happen. Junction indicators are used for higher speed junctions and would not be used in permissive areas so you would never have both lit at same time.

Re: Signals with callons attached

Also remember that although the signals a superb thete will still be occasions when you will have to do az best you can within the limits of what can be achieved. There isn't much that can't be done but there will be somethings where you have to compromise.

Re: Signals with callons attached

Watch the video entitled calling on box. This explains how to make a link a calling on when you can't enter a + in the character field because you are using it to designate a junction indicator or letter for a theatre box etc.

Re: Signals with callons attached

Calling on indicators (or associated position lights) should only show white lights when authorised to enter a piece of track permissively (in other words it is the drivers job to stop short of any obstruction / train etc). They should be unlit at all other times. Take a look at this thread and this...

Re: Signalling Guide/Tutorials for Just Trains UK Modern Signals

It probably would. Couple of solutions. Might be able to do something in the script to prevent triggering of the cab sound. IF the script is compiled into an out file then this will be difficult. Ummm... how about some nice headphones? BTW the boxes might do other things for other signal packs. RSC'...

Re: Signalling Guide/Tutorials for Just Trains UK Modern Signals

The way the JT signals work should allow me to make it work. If I can I will send the update to JT who will hopefully include it with their future routes.

Re: Signalling Guide/Tutorials for Just Trains UK Modern Signals

No unfortunately PRI's are not included. However, I have an idea about how they could be made to work with a few texture changes and a bit of ingenuity.

Leave it with me!

Re: Signalling Guide/Tutorials for Just Trains UK Modern Signals

Banner repeaters, off indicators, distant signals all included. I just realised none of those are covered at the moment in my guides. I'll add it to my "To Do" list. Can you just explain what you mean by preliminary route indicators? Is that the white arrows that indicate the route is set given 1 si...

Signalling Guide/Tutorials for Just Trains UK Modern Signals

Hi everyone, I have been working hard over the past few weeks putting together a series of videos and documents to help people use the Just Trains UK Modern Signals in their own routes. The signals are new and to my knowledge are only included with the Marsdonshire route right at the moment. However...

Re: CabViewKeys v 1.12 released

This is a great program. I was wandering.... well more of hoping. Do you use memory insertion trickery to change the camera views? If so I was wandering if you might be able to make a program that took joystick input and used that to adjust the camera view. So rather than jumping to set locations it...
