Re: Highland route
Hi jon, I tried running it with ambient sounds off and there was no improvement, showing that the sound files are not the problem. I then followed your suggestion re the drop down menu and saving as mono on soundrecorder ,there were a few stereo files so I converted them to 8 bit mono, just to see if ...

Re: Highland route
Hi Ged, Thanks for your input.I'm really out of my depth here and just feeling my way.I don't doubt that you are correct in what you say,but I was just trying to do what the guy in the route builders forum had said which was...."edit sms files by removing the line stereo ( )". Terry

Re: Highland route
You're probably right Geoffrey so I've just had a try.I could'nt get the sms files to show up in the sound recorder so I opened a couple of them manually.I could'nt see the word stereo just the word mono so it looks as though they've already been changed. What must have happened is that the posts tha...

Re: Highland route
Hi jon, I've found it.it's a sound recorder,I got to it through all programs.I read the help file but I can't see how to change the files all together.I'm not going to do them one at a time because quite honestly this is not going to fix the problem. It may improve the route by about 5 fps,but a sing...

Highland route
Does anyone Know of a fix for this route ,it runs with single figure frame rates in most places, even in the middle of nowhere with just a few trees and no buildings.I can go through Clapham junction on the Dorset with double figures and I run at 40 to 50 FPS on most routes, so it's not my system tha...

Problem Fixed but not Solved.
Years ago I had a problem with Thames Mersey taking forever,17 mins,to load. Then I bought the Community CD,same problem,17 mins. All of my other routes, some much bigger than Thames Mersey loaded in seconds, not minutes.I should explain that I only load 1 route at a time and that my Trains are split in...

Thanks Simon.
The search engine won't look for initials or abbreviations, can you tell me what FBD stands for.

Re: Re-Installing Community CD'S
Same thing happened to me and the first thing I thought was that my CD/DVD was playing up.But soon dispelled that idea when the same problem happened on both of my computers plus a friends, also I had no trouble reading any other CD's,just community Cd's.This is not a new problem and goes back many y...
