Re: Chiltern Line Continued

In my experimenting with the sigcfg file I changed the SignalType ( "GWRStop" line 3685 SignalNumClearAhead to ( 1 ) and forgot to change it back to ( 3 ). The version 2.0 of this sigcfg.dat contains the correct ( 3 ) value. The date stamp on the correct file should be 2020-06-14 11:48 AM. Thanks to...

If you would prefer not to wait in a queue to download an 800 KB modified sigcfg.dat file, you could use the link below. I'm hoping the site admin will allow this link.

Re: Stuck points on wessex v1.2 route

I have got all the points to animate by adding the missing line to all the point entries in the relevant world tiles. I have a zip file of the changed compressed world tiles. If you would like a copy, just PM me your email address and I'll email it to you.

Re: Reducing the number of LODS in Shape Files

On reading the links above, I was thinking of a batch programme created by Matt Peddlesden to reduce LODs in many shapes rather than Polymaster reducing LODs one shape at a time.

Reducing the number of LODS in Shape Files

Does anyone have a copy of a utility referred to in the links below for reducing the number of LODs in a shape file? And would allow it to be modified, if necessary, and released for public use? Yes, I know, it goes back to 2006! But then some things improve with age...... http://forums.uktrainsim.c...

Re: Original Settle-Carlisle doubt

Juan, All I have done is change the two instances of TrackShape (102 to Trackshape (88 in the tdb. And everything works OK for me. Have you changed anything else? You haven't said if ALL your tunnel pieces in your global tsection.dat have the line "TunnelShape ( )". Do they?? the first piece of trac...

Re: Original Settle-Carlisle doubt

Do you have these lines in your global tsection.dat? TrackShape ( 89 FileName ( A2t500mStrtTun.s ) NumPaths ( 2 ) SectionIdx ( 1 -2.4925 0 0 0 4 ) SectionIdx ( 1 2.4925 0 0 0 4 ) TunnelShape ( ) ) TrackShape ( 103 FileName ( A2t500mStrtTun.s ) NumPaths ( 2 ) SectionIdx ( 1 -2.4925 0 0 0 4 ) SectionI...

Re: Original Settle-Carlisle doubt

Juan,

Does your sd file look like this?

shape ( A2t500mStrtTun.s
ESD_Detail_Level ( 0 )
ESD_Alternative_Texture ( 2 )
ESD_Tunnel ( 500 0 5 10 0 )
ESD_No_Visual_Obstruction ()
)

Re: Signal Light Problems on my Chilterns Line

According to my reading of the download options listed

http://mstsbin.uktrainsim.com/eng/eng.html

you could need 1.7.081214 which gives you a max of 512 lights per tile.

Re: Track Database Problem?

Good to hear that your route is still progressing. Yes, it will be a large size. I don't have an answer, but I do want to make sure I have understood what is happening. When you either convert ANY piece of DYNAMIC track to UKFS in RE, or you add one more piece of track ANYWHERE in RE, you can make a...

Re: Introductory map and elevation display

What you are looking for is the details.ace file which is in any routes top folder. There is a master, just the background, details.ace in the MSTS\ GUI\ screens folder. You will need to use the TGATool2 utility plus a paint, photoshop, programme, to create your own details.ace. Also note that the s...

Platform Lip

Why do British platform top surfaces and platform sloping ends have a lip, an overhang of the platform vertical wall? Presumably it is there to provide clearance for something, but what?

Any link to an outside source appreciated.

Re: Lamppost Texture Problem

The answer lies in the sd file which has an alternative texture of only 1, for snow. There is no night texture. Remove the line ESD_SubObj ( ) and the pool of light will show in daylight. A full discussion on this feature is here, http://www.trainsim.com/vbts/showthread.php?300430-Making-a-lamp-post...
