These new LBE sounds...

Postby 02southeranc on Thu Aug 18, 2005 8:41 pm

When I run the 'LBE Sounder' file I get this message:

Component 'mci32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered;a file is missing or invalid

What the 'eck does that mean??!
Any help please? Thanks

i dunno what the hell to do with it apart from trash it, its obviously a dud file. The Autors username doesnt exsist.

umbagu (James) so its either someone here called james or someone who joined and left the same day trying to link a virus that didnt work.

Hi
Works fine on my PC

Note
"N.B. It has been designed for Windows XP users. You should have the Visual Basic runtime library"

Cheers

mci32.ocx is just a file you can get off the net (VB Runtime).

It works fine and is completely fine according to my virus checker.

Err, first result on Google works!

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=mci32. ... B:official

Save it in the same directory as the sound program...

Im running windows xp and I have just download and installad the vb runtime program but still getting the same msg, the file that is named, LBE Sounder BETA.exe do you have to place it in the msts folder for it to work as I have it in my documents and im trying to run it from there , where do I place the mp3 files as it does not say in the read me.
When I extracted the zip file extracted it to a different location, rather than extract it to the msts trainsim folder.

Hi
Just a quick one....as I can see there is some confusion.
Just extract it to where you want...it doesn't matter
Leave all the files as they extract.
Double click the exe ...and its running.
If your still getting messages from windows its not working...then you haven't got VB running properly...check antivirus settings etc.
Cheers

I went to the site to download the MCI32.ocx, but it says For use with solution C4WE25 only whatever that means, but I did download it, but windows would not let me open it says windows as found a problem with this file, this file was blocked as it does not have valid digital signature that verifies its publisher.
So I have decided to not bother with it and its gone where it belongs in the bin
