Peak Rail Add-On Route

Postby chrisj94 on Tue Mar 15, 2005 7:55 pm

Hi all
Just to say that route building has finally comenced thanks to a somewhat chance meeting at Darley Dale station with another forums member!
David Martin(Rwacewy)has volunteered to build the route.
DEM has been used and UKFS is also included.
David is also doing 3d modelling,so most of the building will be accurate.
Thanks David.
Hopefully some shots will follow soon.

Shots so hot off the press, they'll melt your monitor! ( Its a metophor, will say that before I get the 'safety first' sort after me ;))

Basically done a small amount of tracklaying ( Darley Dale Loop ) and object placing. Anyway, onto the pictures.

4F No. 4422 arrives at Darley Dale ( maybe with a train from Rowsley? Not at the mo ;) ). A few objects are placed, including the up platform, Darley Dale station building and a few more :)

Another shot, this time from Station Road.

Change of loco, but not of location. A8 No. 68592 calls in with a Buxton-Matlock stopper sometime in the early 1960's ( we can dream.... )..

Thanks,

David

A change in name of this new route is required, for the following reason:

Is this going to be the preserved line or the complete route?

David,

Route folder is PR1.

Alan Heath (Alan2), whose baby it is, has continued with it since the uploaded route, I have an unreleased version dated September 2004.

It just seems that, although they will be different interpretations, the area covered is similar, in Alan's case Ambergate to Chinley with a branch to Buxton, it may well be extended further now.

Darn, is there any safe way of renaming my route folder?

A lot more work done, track is now all laid to Matlock Riverside.

42765 on the first train, heading south past Darley Dale yard.

Our train accelerates for Matlock ( just like the 1960's! unfitted freight.... )

A view in the other direction.

Heading down towards Matlock.

Nearly there! Our train approaches Riverside station.

Arrival! Our train settles down in Matlock Riverside station, while the crew go and grab a cocoa ;).

End of the line so far, although I plan to extend the line to Matlock Bath station.

Enjoy!

Some more shots of the route :)

The view north from Darley Dale. A bit more station scenery has been added, including a few custom models.

One of the excellent Highworth lamps reskinned into BR Maroon, with a totem added by me.

Well done David, well done. May i ask, as i know you use tsm, we aren't allowed to release tsm models commercially without a certain version, but are we allowed to release tsm objects as donationware ( thinking about the B&KR )
