Barrow in Furness 8th & 9th October 2016

Postby codrivermike on Tue Sep 27, 2016 4:17 pm

It's that time of the year again. Time to venture into a lovely corner of Cumbria and would you believe it, it's our 10th anniversary of us attending this excellent show, come and join us at Barrow 6th Form College on Ratings Lane, you won't be disapointed. There will be the usual crew of Myself and RobertM and we have Team Chaddock Engineering making the trip up from Bristol too.

See you there

Hi Mike, looking forward to seeing the gang again as usual.
Did you know that next years Keighley Model Railway Show will take place in a new venue up the road from it's usual place.

Cheers

Hi Mike, Robert and Duncan, just a note to say I did enjoy meeting you yesterday and could see first hand that you had plenty of interest
in the display you were putting on.
I arrived at 11.15am and stayed until 02.30pm before driving back to Newcastle, after thinking about the overall package on the way back,
I decided that with only 10 model layouts on show it was not worth my time and effort doing it again next year.
As I told Mike when I left there is always the Keighley Show and that is worth the expense and bother to go to so I will hope that you
continue to put on your displays at the other shows but now looks as though the Keighley Show is the only one I will see you all again.

Cheers
Bob

Glad to hear things are going well in Barrow. I would have loved to come up but yesterday was my own club's exhibition so I was needed here.

Hope you have a great day and the entertainment last night was good.
Kindest regards

Awwww yes. What a cracking show. As ever the banter flowed (it's a Northern thing :) ) and during the hours of darkness the beer flowed too, awww yes.

As for the actual show well there was a lot of visitors some of which were knowledgable about Train Simulator and some new to the scene looking for advice and once again we had members of the public driving and getting a feel for what TS is all about.

John and Pete

Thanks for the support, Robert and Mike looked after me very well and the show is a local affair. I even met up with individuals that I been with on a trip across America with a few years back.

The local content of displays and people sets it off from some of the others and the families are the main inputs, inclusive of some of the disabled punters.

It's along way for me, but was productive, the secret transport arrangements on the Saturday evening have to be experienced to get the right message. Even Robert couldn't keep to the depths that Mike and me were getting (sorry cannot print them) but it was finished with a Whiskey.

Awwww Yes, just doesn't give it justice!!

Mike get me the bits please.
