Hi Rob, sorry about that mistake, you did say in your first post that you wouldn't be there.
I could try and put it down to tiredness and old age. :D :D :D

Well that's another Keighley show under our belts and once again a cracking time was had. A big thank you to both Duncan and John Chaddock standing in for Robert who was busy shoving coal into a firebox. And a big thank you to other attendees including Bob and Alec, several others made their presence known but unfortunately I didn't write their names down and the old brain cells don't retain information for that long.

A big thank you also goes out to 12 year old Oliver who took the controls for a good few hours over both days, I hope he gets over his fixation with messing with the wipers.

One thing that came to our notice over the weekend was that over the last few years the public have gawped open mouthed at the simulator and asked questions as to how to get it. Now we're getting "Yay Train Sim" Everyone seems to have it and the questions we're getting are more technical, including how do you make the Class 86 go? :-?

Anyways. See you next time

Right, just got back and now able to contribute and report.

A big thank you to Mike for showing John and I the ropes for Keighley. The show is much smaller as expected and the Club Members are very friendly, even to the point of supplying food for the team on both days.

I must say that if we hadn't volunteered and Mike had to do the show on his own it would of been a big ask. His time would of been spend on answering questions only.
As many came to the display and ask some very good points on the sim, we even had a lot of young and old participant's trying the game out. It was rewarding and we didn't get the painful pundits which can make the days disappointing.

I was surprised at the Mum's with the Kids asking how to get the game and even had a five year old start there and then on my machine. Two minutes and he was gone for an hour driving, didn't need any help, just got on with it.

As Mike has stated we had many say hello and even to the point of helping where required.

Thanks Mike and I hope I can do it again next year.
