Station assets for new route challenge

New rules, new ideas. Geoff's first route building challenge was a tremendous success with some outstanding results - will you have a go this time?

I made a very interesting building complex with all the blocks. Blocks are always useful, I like my steps and slopes and the wooden halt, but the coal tower is the one object that stands out.
Any issues in the pack feel free to report, mind you i may not do anything about them...
:)

Hi Derek

Thanks very much for these models. Your time and expertise is much appreciated.

I can see many of them going straight into routes, and not just the Challenge Routes.

I now have loading platforms for Ballacoy Mart
Thanks Mr D.
Unfortunately evolution of 1000 years, kilts not keeping the sensitive parts warm in winter and inter breeding with the English has brought us in line with EU regulatory lengths. :(

Thanks Derek, there's a lot of useful stuff in there.

In case anyone is wondering, the inspection pits should be used in conjunction with a tunnel decal underneath (hides terrain to reveal the pit) and with rail-only track, which I gather will be added to the pack shortly.

BTW, Canopy_Tile02 appears to have been given the wrong asset.

Aha, that'll be why I couldn't get the inspection pits right!
I've now got all the track in my engine shed at a gradient of 1in 28920 though :-?

Ah. There are some ways to align objects exactly with track, but none of them are easy. Maybe Derek can be persuaded to make inspection pits as a loft rather than a scenic item.

Nothing has the wrong asset, all is how i wanted it to be.
And no i will not be making any lofts, those can be made by some else.

Perhaps then some wires got crossed in the Steam pack. In the editor, Canopy_Tile02 produces the same asset as Large_Canopy02, and not what either the name or manual implies.

Hi, not checked, but it could have happened if I exported 1 object as another.
Will check later.

The large canopies should be 3 different sizes.

if there is an error that has crept in then we will update.

ahh yes I see, wel; spoted. That will teach me to use similar names.
It should be a small end peice.

will update next week.

One of the reasons for the inspection pit not being a loft was that i did not think the pits would ever be used around a curve and they would be tricky to select once under the track.

Don't suppose you could make the brick arch retaining wall a loft , it would be so much easier to place if it were a loft :D

No sorry.

I am not doing anything more on the pack (other than bug fixing) as I have moved on.

Hi

Just to clarify, my issue with the inspection pit is that I couldn't get the hole to appear as it was always covered by the sleepers - which makes sense if the intention is that it will be used in conjunction with rail-only track. Nothing to do with alignment or lofts. I'll look forward to the update.

Thanks again

How exactly do you download this pack?

I've logged into Steam, found the pack, clicked Install Game but it just sends me to what I believe to be the main Steam page.
