An excellent start.

You'll have a laugh with all those trees, I'm sure!

Cheers

Hi

A very interesting start, and with the decal in place we already have a good indication that this is going to be a spectacular route.

hi,
Last pictures of steam on this line................
I havent got a clue how to make them move

Turn table only used for turning engines, not for parking them

Starting the task of convincing people its a railway

Now if only I could convince myself I am a landscape artest. Thinking about being an arbourist tomorrow.

hi
I decided to go for a sunday drive :D
Image

First test , the turn table..... not a problem then off up the hill, onward and upward
Image

Through both tunnels without a hitch
Image

and around the circle and looking back down to where we just came from
Image

then further along can see down to the first horse shoe bend 300 feet below
Image

The line is officialy 7.195 miles from station to station according to the NZ Railway & Tramway Atlas.
At least I can tick of the length bit of the "CHALLENGE" requirements:D, and so ends sunday with 53 of the 168 precious hours gone .

hi,
The quickest way up the hill is obviously straight, or is that the Zig prior to the Zag. Doubt its reproduceable :)

hi,
I think the ziggy track came from selecting a whole forest of trees with the magic circle and i selected the track as well and when i dragged the forest over a bit the track went funny . strange it didnt just part as normal.

Well, thats the end of day 3 :D . Time for some pretty lights
Image

I tried creating a "Simple" scenario........... will be a fast learning curve to get the instructions from paper to RW.
have still got 91 hours  shame about having to sleep and eat and breath and drink and and and.... such is life.

hi,
Today was more trees  and more coloured lights, a bit like Christmas realy
My concept of landscape artistry is improving ever so slightly. The default assets are woefully lacking in suitable single dwelling housing . "Coro Street" style housing just does NOT look right  . day 4 down, 3 to go..........what you could call down hill from here on I guess.

hi,
Well, Thats the scenario box ticked. Was an interesting execise fore sure. I suddenly realised how very little actual train driving I have done in either RS or RW and yet I have been entertained by them both since 2007. The scenario contains a basic shunting puzzle which turned out to be a challenge in its self. Driving it was good for revealing a few things which needed "adjustment". The end of another day. Whats done is done, and now to finish off the paper work. Just one more hill to climb and hopefully I can deliver a package at the top of it

My ability appears to extend to the art of Route Packageing, but this has yet to be proven.
