Just to make sure that the rules and other relevant information are easy to find, details will be posted in this topic.

I will not re-write the guide rules here but this link will take you to them -

As it is not always easy to work out what the default assets are in RailWorks, Adam has given this very informative summary -

I have made a tutorial on creating your own route template that may be of interest.

I have also added a loading screen tutorial that may be of interest.

Judges & Prizes

Postby Acorncomputer on Sat Nov 07, 2009 9:18 pm

Hi all

As an added incentive to take part in this Challenge, there are some great prizes to be won -

* There will be a very special prize from RS.com and they will be judging as a team

* Just Trains are offering a copy of the soon to be released Newcastle to York Modern add-on, something that I think we are all very much looking forward to

* UKTS are offering subscriptions and will be judging as team

More details and prize confirmations to follow.

Although both Matt and myself will be taking part in the Challenge, we will not be submitting our routes for judging so I will be taking on the role as a judge as well to complete the panel.

Judging will be based on the Challenger who can build a route nearest to the criteria in the rules. The person who gets the closest in the opinion of the judges will have first choice of the prizes, the next nearest the choice of what is left and the third nearest the remaining prize.

Fantastic Prize Offered by RS.com

Postby Acorncomputer on Mon Nov 09, 2009 8:25 pm

Hi

RS.com have confirmed that they will be offering an incredibly generous prize in this Challenge.

The prize will be a complete set of all DLC available from RS.com 'at the time the prizes are issued'. That means that if there is any new DLC between now and the time the winners are decided, that will also be included in the prize.

With such tremendous prizes on offer, I now wish I hadn't ruled myself out :( Still, this leaves more chance for the rest of the Challengers to win something.
