You'll need BIN and a good machine for best results. There are some tiles which may not load without BIN, unless you want to risk a CTN5 type scenario

I've watched the development of this route with interest. In the early 1980's I travelled regularly to Burra, usually on Bluebirds but occasionally on loco hauled trains. This was the last gasp for the line and really the last gasp for what remained of the old SAR. A mallee root fire in the Burra stationmaster's office, electric staff working, signalboxes at Riverton, Hamley Bridge and Roseworthy and standing room only on Sunday evening Bluebirds to Adelaide now seem like a world away, even if the memories are fresh. And who could forget the run to Burra on a winter's Friday night in a 1940's era steel car with draughty windows and no heating, the smell of an Alco's exhaust drifting back as it snarled its way up through the rolling hills.

Your screenshots have brought back the memories - can't wait to drive the route!

Following a hectic month, things have got back on track, and the route is pretty much ready for signalling as soon as I build the gantries.

Also, I have added some distant mountains to the route which should improve the skyline

If you are interested in running a few trains on this route and sending some feedback and/or constructive criticism, please get in touch with myself via private message or email. It would be a bonus to me if you're experienced in the RE, but if not that is no problem at all. I mainly need to know of any major bugs or flaws.

Hi ARG706,
Living in the midnorth as I do (near Hanson), I'm fascinated by your most impressive work on this line. The mention of Merildin prompts me to write, as it has a few quirks. It is odd to be traveling around and come to a station and a goods shed in what is basically the middle of nowhere! It's very popular with local artist and photographers. The station has a nameboard of carved slate from the famous Mintaro quarry - but it is carved with the name 'Mintaro' which was painted over with 'Merildin'. That paint has now faded and the original name shows through. Merildin came about as the station for Mintaro, but it is several kilometres out of town over a winding and quite steeply graded track. I have wondered how they would have got the slate to the station to send it off - must have used a lot of bullocks!
Thanks for bringing this line to life for me - I haven't seen a train on it since 1997.

Just a note for those on slower computers, or on plans that count uploads in monthly totals, the single installer option, that is well over 500MB in size. The multi-part option are around 50MB each.

I've also had emails that Croc page is not found, but it's definitely there as well - I've checked the link and looked at the web site directly via FTP to confirm. You may be getting these error messages if Railpage is experiencing delays due to the download pressure (there have been almost 1,400 hits to the main page since release yesterday afternoon, but RP don't have recordable stats any more on their sites).
