Great to see a Kiwi RS route and it's an area I lived in once (Roxburgh/Hydro).

Really MUST get these locos of mine sorted out....
Good to see the NZ objects being put to use though!

Was any further progress made on this project? Already bored with my flat-as-a-pancake ECML I was looking at some more exotic prototypes and the Taieri Gorge section seems to offer everything a potential train sim project needs: Good balance between infrastructure and scenery with some superb landscape and about the right length at just over 60km. Plus the possibility of extending to Palmerston on the South Main Line (which also looks very spectacular) or indeed along the course of the now closed section north of Middlemarch.

Built to standard gauge, it would also be a good place to put the Chinese locos and rolling stock to work.

If no one else is working on it, I may put it in my "to do" basket alongside or after my piece of the ECML.
